Favoriting Communication Breakdown: Archives

I'm not talking about one person--I'm talking about everybody. I'm talking about form... I'm talking about content... I'm talking about inter-relationships... I'm talking about God, the Devil, Hell, Heaven--do you understand, FINALLY?!?

The show features three segments, after Roy Orbison sings our theme song (the Communication Breakdown opening is the opposite of Aerial View's: it's the same song each week, with new soundbytes - Aerial View used the same bytes with a different music "bed" each week. This new way is MUCH more labor-intensive!), you'll hear: • I leave my apartment, hop in the car with my friend Jeff Maschi and head off to Maxwell's, where Maria Levitsky put together a little Aerial View Farewell dinner. At Maxwell's you'll hear me, Jeff, Maria, Bill Skiff, Jim C. Diane L. and Ken Freedman (Rob and Katy showed up later) kibitz and drink. Then it's on to... • MIDNITE CALL-A-FRIEND. This episode: ANDY NICASTRO, in Seattle. You've heard his sister Judy on Aerial View. Now Andy and I hold forth on the new Pope, President Bush, the American Century and pornographers, among other topics. Andy's got a great blog, so allow me to blog-roll for a bit. • After we wave goodbye to Andy, we head over to the Rodeo Bar in NYC, where I perform C.W. McCall's crowd-pleasing Convoy with the Damn Lovelys.
