Most of what I have to do is wrap and box the ~200 crystals mostly lining the floor around the walls of my late friend Bob's bedroom. His ex, Jeannie, whom he lived with for 20 years before moving in with me, said she gave him most of the crystals and wanted them preserved and if possible given to a museum, but at any rate not to go to our mutual friend Ralph because he'll just put them around his property where they won't be seen much. He's going thru his own struggle with the fairly sudden death of his wife. And then we had another friend die suddenly of a bleeding ulcer.

But I want to get this job with the crystals done before showing the room to prospective new sub- or co-tenants.

State legislators give many reasons, none of which have persuaded the 48 states that allow it. (Oregon didn't, as of a few years ago.) The elderly and disabled might have a problem pumping their own gas, but most states require someone to come out and help them if necessary.

There was a whooper at my concert. At first he whooped at the end of each piece. Then he began to whoop at the climaxes of the pieces. It was strangely consonant with the music, I thought (lively pieces with a middle-eastern clarinet swooping around). I don't think it would work with Bartok.

Sure enough, Kikuchi's Wikipedia page has a section called Legacy in New York State Property Law: en.wikipedia.org...

It has to do with a loft, doesnt it?

Jessie says every year she poses the question to her students, why didn't Kikuchi just move from a loft where the landlord allowed conditions to be so horrible. (Bricks were falling from above floors on people's heads; near misses with people nearly falling down open elevator shafts; a waterbed company in the above space leaking water down and ruining instruments, etc.) None of the young law students have any idea just how precious a cheap New York City loft was in the '60s and '70s.

@Jeff, how are you spelling Booth's first name today?

@Doug: is the difference that cheap NYC lofts just don't exist anymore?

Following the current convention, Juini (which I just had to fix on the playlist, thanks, @LG!).

@fred
That's about right. Basically, there is nothing cheap and there are no lofts. (They've all been subdivided into many multiple sardine-can apartments.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am
Jeff Golick:

Good ears, @RRN63 -- I think Booth and the drummer Eric Gravatt were at this time McCoy's rhythm section.

Scott Williams just strolled in to claim a CD that was in Studio C, and told me that all three studios here -- A, B, C -- are broadcasting live. I found that kind of thrilling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am
Jeff Golick:

(Also confusing, as the only person I've seen here all summer is Jeff Sarge.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29am

(Also possibly embarrassing -- in light of dancing comments, above.)

I can see how only meeting Jeff Sarge over a long time can increase confusion

I wonder who is live in Studio B?! The Rock & Soul stream has its robot working. Maybe a live performance is being recorded in B?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32am

It's Mike Sin, I think his show comes on at 11?

Agreed, @spodiodi. If anyone ever locates Khalid of Space Part ONE, please send up the D:O signal.

OK, it seems that the record speed was about right. Perhaps the absence of talk-over just let me hear all the spaces in it. Or else I am losing my mind. 50-50
