	9:40am Kpx: My storm troubles were relatively fewer than most. I had a towel laid out on the floor with a bucket placed in the middle of it to catch a steady dripping from my ceiling. Then later on I noticed a mysterious brown spot had appeared on one end of the towel, I looked up and and saw another brown spot that had developed on my ceiling tile, and it was dripping Brown water. Now I can't help but Wonder what made that water Brown. Now I got a brown stain on my ceiling, I know it's nothing compared to the damage which I'm sure many of you would exchange for mine.

This fund assists home and business rebuilding efforts for vulnerable populations who have been affected by the Atlantic hurricanes, including Ida. Charity Navigator gave them a 4 out of 4 star rating, reserved for highly impactful charities.

	♥ 10:19am Threemoons: Mom, thankfully, had power at her building all night and was blissfully unaware of the situation in NYC as the storm lashed her riverfront building. No hot water in my building this AM so I am assuming possible backflooding in boiler room (which triggers an auto-off for the boilers to prevent gas buildup). Hopefully my storage unit in the basement isn't flooded as that's where I keep my spare stash of toilet paper, paper towels, feminine supplies, etc. Already texted my super but not going downstairs; if our basement is flooded that means no elevator and probably a crowd of folks trying to salvage shit anyway, so it can wait. If it's wet it's ruined and it will stay ruined for a while; if it's dry then it's fine.

Sending thoughts for best outcomes to all who have to clean up, dry out, shift around or wait for new info on losses and impacts. Pretty ordinary rain is all that made it to Maine.

Feeling blessed beyond belief that I am in a better apartment than I was 5 years ago, which always had leak issues every time it rained; by the time I left one corner in my bedroom had the plaster falling off and bare brickwork exposed. I imagine that the place is on the verge of collapsing now. Did a walkthrough of my place this AM and all seems tight and dry thank G-d. Then again, they actually maintain this building and re-do the pointing and install new windows on a proper schedule.

It’s the first apocalypse-grade event since I left NYC, and it was such a weird feeling to not be there. At 4am you get to thinking smart stuff like, “Wait, I’m supposed to die in New York during one of these...” Maybe I’ll return after my senior dog finishes her time on earth, to set the cosmic scales aright. I don’t wanna be hit by a meteor anywhere but NYC, baby!

Flooding in Rockland County, abandoned cars in underpasses, etc. Luckily she has food in and she already had her chemo this week. She may try tomorrow if it doesn't rain again.She DOES have an MRI scheduled at Kettering in Montvale; she needs to call to confirm because they may now be backlogged. Thank goodness she already had her procedure this week.

	11:52am Avrilinmay: missed a bit of the how, I am so sorry for that since I am not sure how the subject of the docu "Other Music" came up. But just wanted to say that just earlier this summer it was on my mind one day (as I was in between sessions of listening to wfmu of course). I loved discovering it. I loved thinking about such a place (although the idea that I might have missed my chance in this lifetime to work at a similar place, like I have dreamt to since the 90's, is still a deeply existential angst-inducing thing !) and it made me cry by the end. There you go, not much time left now to elaborate on the other thoughts I had about it. Oh and I smiled seeing Duane in there and discovering how one other WFMU dj "looked like" outside of radio (which is rare for me) :)))

	9:40am Kpx: My storm troubles were relatively fewer than most. I had a towel laid out on the floor with a bucket placed in the middle of it to catch a steady dripping from my ceiling. Then later on I noticed a mysterious brown spot had appeared on one end of the towel, I looked up and and saw another brown spot that had developed on my ceiling tile, and it was dripping Brown water. Now I can't help but Wonder what made that water Brown. Now I got a brown stain on my ceiling, I know it's nothing compared to the damage which I'm sure many of you would exchange for mine.

No hot water in my building this AM so I am assuming possible backflooding in boiler room (which triggers an auto-off for the boilers to prevent gas buildup). Hopefully my storage unit in the basement isn't flooded as that's where I keep my spare stash of toilet paper, paper towels, feminine supplies, etc. Already texted my super but not going downstairs; if our basement is flooded that means no elevator and probably a crowd of folks trying to salvage shit anyway, so it can wait. If it's wet it's ruined and it will stay ruined for a while; if it's dry then it's fine.

Feeling blessed beyond belief that I am in a better apartment than I was 5 years ago, which always had leak issues every time it rained; by the time I left one corner in my bedroom had the plaster falling off and bare brickwork exposed. I imagine that the place is on the verge of collapsing now. Did a walkthrough of my place this AM and all seems tight and dry thank G-d. Then again, they actually maintain this building and re-do the pointing and install new windows on a proper schedule.

It’s the first apocalypse-grade event since I left NYC, and it was such a weird feeling to not be there. At 4am you get to thinking smart stuff like, “Wait, I’m supposed to die in New York during one of these...” Maybe I’ll return after my senior dog finishes her time on earth, to set the cosmic scales aright. I don’t wanna be hit by a meteor anywhere but NYC, baby!

It is on the odd side, but in just watching the first 15 mins again last night, I liked how Perry introduces himself, his origins, what his essential philosophy always was. A complicated person, to say the least. The reggae he made reflects that.

	11:52am Avrilinmay: missed a bit of the how, I am so sorry for that since I am not sure how the subject of the docu "Other Music" came up. But just wanted to say that just earlier this summer it was on my mind one day (as I was in between sessions of listening to wfmu of course). I loved discovering it. I loved thinking about such a place (although the idea that I might have missed my chance in this lifetime to work at a similar place, like I have dreamt to since the 90's, is still a deeply existential angst-inducing thing !) and it made me cry by the end. There you go, not much time left now to elaborate on the other thoughts I had about it. Oh and I smiled seeing Duane in there and discovering how one other WFMU dj "looked like" outside of radio (which is rare for me) :)))
