Prima and his band were like the Zappa and Mothers of Invention of their day. They mixed a lot of humor and crazed energy with their music, managing to “smuggle” a lot of brilliant music to audiences that otherwise might not have been so receptive.

P-90 U remember the first Spirit song I heard. Was in mid 90's in a cafe during a high school field trip. I was very excited to hear it and made sure I asked the waitress what was the name of the band on the speakers.
