finally got a normalish flat again last week, after my old one got flooded out in sept due to hurricane ian. only took 3ish months to rehabilitate... (still cleaning).. now, only 9 more months of fl to endure...

when i went to rent in Gainesville (before i ended up in orlando), i used a digital elevation model to make sure i picked a house above any flooding threats. when hurricane irene came through, the flood waters came one block away. I didn't have the luxury of choice in orlando.
