True, it's an update of the old Skip James blues, but that descending guitar riff is Claptons (he may have gotten it somewhere, I don't know where, but Cream's resembles the Skip James, but is different.

I believe Cream did give writer credit to Skip James (quick perusal of Google seems James was happy about the version). Contrast with Led Zep, who stole blues and took writer's credits.
