Hi! “It’s for kids” — eh, that’s a bad excuse for churning out some lame garbage sometimes. So are some great Pixar movies and they were also incredibly well-written. And some great kids’ lit. And some great episodes of Dr. Who. Kids deserve good critically-acclaimed stuff! (Not that I’ve seen the Mario movie.)

I agree to some extent. Pixar made some amazing, fresh pictures and someone like Russell T Davies has always treated the younger reader as an adult... But I've got friends who have been dragged by their kids to the cinema numerous times to watch Mario. It's what they've controlled on screens at home, on a big screen. I've read lots of reviews that treat it like an aberration to Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey. As long as it done fan service to anyone under 60 that's been playing Nintendo for decades, it's good with me.

I haven't seen it either yet but I actually liked the Bob Hoskins 90s version. It was daft in a lovely way!

From eBay, I bought a lot of 9 Led Zep Deluxe remastered CDs - almost all of their studio back catalog.
