I used to frequent Mexico City 2000s en route to Oaxaca ... [not Zipolete] met a woman working in a shop en DF and she invited me to a Punk/SKA Anniversary Squat party in the Cerros (West/North) above Barrancca de Muertos (Coyocan) .. Went and was amazing but when invited to stay the night got paranoid and said no we meet again in yer sho .. No Peseros= mini-buses so walked all the way back to the centro .. close to the Parque Alameda Centaral ... almost dawn ..a blanquito in a VW pulls up and says [english] "Hey - You want to be in a movie???" I asked "sex film??" He said "YES!!!" I said no thanks and walked on ... could have been the star of a Snuff Film???

My times in DF in 2010s were much more tame. Just random parties/shows, me wondering into no-go areas (according to my friends) looking for records, lucha libre, paquerias, etc. oh, and going into gentrified la condensa to find the place where w burroughs shot joan vollmer (now a yuppified condo)

/and museums, tons of museums (it's sort of my thing)

DF - used to take the Metro to Polanco [super rich] and then walk back to the center via crazy rough places .. ending in Tepito - an alleged no go but if yer not buying drugs or carrying a 2,000 us camera ... no hassle .. people say hello and ask if ya want to eat = seeking no money .. just the conversation with a walker .. super fantastic ...

I'm in Orlando right now, but will be back in NYC 6 months after I start working (which should be soonish). I've already walked 100% of every blockface in Manhattan, 85% of Brooklyn, 45% of Queens, 15% of the Bronx, and 5% of SI. (some days I'd walk from south sunset park to greenpoint just for fun (take the train to s sunset park and walk back).

BEST Belfast Garffiti on the Shankill Rd in the 90s .. the UVF were a murder gang killing any Catholic not specific IRA members .. but on the Shank .. There was a Large UVF graffitit and some brave soul there changed with a different colour spray
