I first heard this song Trouble's show a decade or more ago. It had the gunshots, and then my daughter went through a M.I.A. phase and her version didn't have the gunshots. (It did, but edited to make them sound less brutal.) That edit always bugged me.

Hey, all! Really glad to hear some Billy Squier, always liked him and thought he got a raw deal when his career tanked because of that video of him prancing around in a pink sweatshirt. A few years back I got curious about what happened to him, and thankfully the story has a happy ending: it turns out that one of his beats is one of the most sampled beats in hip hop, which has netted him lots of royalties. Last I checked, he was living at the Dakota with his wife (a former German women's soccer star) and is very involved in Central Park conservancy.

Also, here's a bit of music trivia that blew my mind: future Dead Kennedys bassist Klaus Fluoride and Squier were once in a band together in Boston.
