Can you maybe hum the simplest -- most easily manageable -- accompaniment or harmonies while companions sing? The sounds together would get the same satisfactions and good feels generated in musical shapes and flights.

	11:28am rx scabin: @still b/p thank you. I can find the notes, but I just cannot keep them. I mean my friend cannot. The rhythm thing would work (for my friend). Sadly, my friend has had many years of music lessons, but was always moved away from singing by others. Dogs, cats, and small children like how he sings though.

	♥ 11:28am Bryant in TO: ↳ rx scabin @11:04 Hmm, I guess that depends if your friend is legit tone deaf. I've heard that most people have an ability to develop "tune-ability." Not being an expert, I'd think a good approach is to find what range feels natural then sing along (or in harmony) with songs you like. Even if someone can't sing in a lead vocalist's range for a song, it's possible to land in a good complimentary spot that harmonizes well. When nobody else is home, I sing out loud to my heart's content and start to feel more confident.

The sounds together would get the same satisfactions and good feels generated in musical shapes and flights.

Sadly, my friend has had many years of music lessons, but was always moved away from singing by others. Dogs, cats, and small children like how he sings though.

Not being an expert, I'd think a good approach is to find what range feels natural then sing along (or in harmony) with songs you like. Even if someone can't sing in a lead vocalist's range for a song, it's possible to land in a good complimentary spot that harmonizes well. When nobody else is home, I sing out loud to my heart's content and start to feel more confident.
