...' In 1958, Buchanan made his recording debut with Chicago's Chess Records at age 19, accompanying Dale Hawkins by playing the solo on "My Babe. Todd ..I loved in Somers Point for 16 years and followed the RnR roots .... Buddy Holly was said to play RnR for the first time there ....it closed and other clubs replaced it ....I saw Cracker do a blisterimg set .there. Great memories

One of my favorite Dylan albums is "Planet Waves," with the Band backing him. It sounds under rehearsed, there are some mistakes left in, but I love it. My favorite track is "Dirge," which is just Dylan on piano and Robertson on acoustic guitar.

"Hill Country Blues" Some call it "Drone Blues". It came from the day's when the clubs would shut down in Memphis. Folks would drive down to Jr. Kimbrough's juke joint out from Holly Springs and play this stuff all night.. Songs would blend from one to the other . Burnsides and Kimbroughs all taking turns.

in the mid-seventies, i worked summers on a golf course in baton rouge - there was a guy worked there, when i got there they called AM/FM - he basically invented the walkman. he somehow wired two mono earplugs as 'stereo' and put them inside some shooting ear-blocks, put them through the old cassette players on a mower. brilliant!!
