What was truly amazing was the violent nature of the crowds back then for their shows. Totally based on enthusiasm for the show about to start. Their shows always had an atmosphere you could feeel the moment you got out of your car at the concert!!

That's one thing with TheWho - they had Townshend as Writer - & Entwistle too for that matter. Plant wrote great things - but no one there was in the frontlines of Conceptualizing for the whole Culture quite like that there... I feel the posturing compensated - & that fed into 70s & Metal norms - & the Plagiarizing are of a piece there. But no Band is perfect or beyond Critique...
