Closest I have come is flying TAP, the national airline, to Barcelona with a changeover in Lisbon. Whereat on the way home, every Muslim or person with a beard (including me) was hauled into a special security zone for extra attention, luggage searches, and pat-downs while being covered by submachine guns. So that was fun.

Wine was free-flowing on the plane, though.

my bride operates under the practice that if you can't think of a word in a foreign language, just say something that rhymes with the English version and put a question mark at the end. When we were first in Germany, we visited a vineyard and they had some sort of fizzy wine derivation they served in pint glasses along with a piece of zwiebelkuchen. They said it was something like "the first wine". When we visited another winery at the end of our stay, she couldn't recall the name for the wine (I forgot as well), so she used her little rhyming scheme and asked for "virst vine", which is basically hot dog water
