Paul Needham was one the important bibliographers at the Morgan, no? Back in the '80s he contributed to a series of articles about microscopic investigation of the elemental content of ink in incunables, e.g., the Gutenberg Bible. Utterly fascinating stuff.

Does anyone know if the web pop-up player uses a different format and/or lower bitrate than the iOS app? When I alternate between running my Mac audio and my iPhone through my sound system, I often think the iPhone source sounds better. But the differing sound quality might the different signal processors of the two devices too.
