Dave. Jose Cid was in Quarteto 1111. He was a founding member. They formed in beautiful Estoril, outsid Lisbon, where I had a house (though I'm NJ-based). Cid went on to a long pop career in Portugal and is to this day, still active. I owned a nightclub in Lisbon called Cabaret Maxime, where we booked him regularly, helping him revive his career. He had been kinda forgotten. But no longer. Proud of that. Thx for the prog!
  2:31pm
Frank:

Ahh. Just heard your 111 post-track comment. I should've realized you woulda known. In any case, maybe I can just clarify one actual thing: In Portuguese, the letter "J" is always phonetically-soft, unlike in Spanish. So, the Portuguse 'J' in "Jose" would be pronounced just like in the US..."Joe-se". Since you'll probably play some Cid again at some point (hopefully) figured you'd want to know. Thx again. Best.
