Kevin Gilbert was in a Genesis cover band.

J. Buckley fans can be...extreme. A buddy of mine ran a CD auction site on early eBay. He made the mistake of characterizing a singer as "like Jeff Buckley." The fans threatened lawsuits and more, as if a comparison were a violation of their or JB's moral rights.

I saw Jeff Buckley at Luna Park, a club in West Hollywood before he hit the big time. It was interesting, he hadn't taken his roll as a heat generator the lower areas to seriously yet - he was goofy and fun.

I hear later his shows were like going to church - women ready to slap your damn face if your didn't show the proper reverence.

I'm trying to remember the live show, which I saw twice in a two week span way back when.

Usually Genesis of that era used instrumentals to fill space for Gabriel costume changes or stage re-configurations.

The Lamia is a few songs after Waiting Room & they used this tubular thing withThe Lamia creatures on it for the song, that got lit, pulled up & rotated and Gabriel was singing from inside it.

Maybe that's what Waiting Room's purpose was.To get the prop in place
