Seems interesting to me that in a lot of 'Rawk Histories' - DooWop is glossed over entirely. Yet the idea that it's such a Street phenomenon - image of neighborhood toughs around a lamp trying to sound sweet... Then the influence on this on the next phase of Vocal Groups into the 1960s. When I often think that Bands Singing Harmony has disappeared - tho I'm sure there are any number of Alt~Indy bands who do now... Everything in cycles maybe...

So, I had this friend named Rene. She insisted I take her to my moms house to raid the mulberry tree and make a pie. After, she wanted to get high, so we came back here and I obliged her.

Walking down the driveway holding her pie, she turned around and said "I got to get away from you."
