It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Hi David and all - I'm late to the party, but happy to see some Electric Jalaba and Jon Hassell on the playlist! By the way, I met Jon Hassell at the house of Gnawa musician Abdenbi Binizi in Marrakech in 1992. Both of them were working on a project with Richard Horowitz for the Expo in Sevilla that summer.

No I didn't play - it was my first trip to Morocco, and I was not yet as deeply involved in Moroccan music as I later became. I did attend some of the rehearsals - there were like 200 Moroccan musicians from folkloric groups, plus a handful of Euro/American soloists/collaborators. Crazy scene!
