No. There's so many weird misconceptions about what's "better" for you in the cheese world. Jarlsberg has less sodium, but that's about it. Fresh goat cheese has less fat than hard goat cheese -- as if anyone should even give a shit about that -- but only because it's got more moisture in it, and fat only lives in solids. Don't get me started! Oh wait. I already did. haha. Gonna go cue up rekkids now.

my funny ideas about cheese:
i assume goat milk and cow milk are about the same for lactose-intolerant people; but goat milk is much more like human milk in it's nutritional breakdown and easier for people with milk allergies (which are generally to proteins, not sugars).
also goat farms are generally much smaller and less likely to have crazy shit added to the food they eat, and the milk is often less processed.
regarding lactose, the longer cheese is aged the less lactose it's got, and goat milk cheese is usually aged; but then so are many cow milk cheeses.
most aged (over 6 months, according to kerrygold) cheese is fine for lactose intolerant people, at least in theory.
(i'm not lactose intolerant so i don't know)

Your info gibes completely with my experience as a moderately lactose intolerant person: lots of cream (like an Alfredo sauce) is a problem but yogurt and cheddar cheese never an issue.
I always gravitate toward sheep and goat milk cheeses but then (and this will not surprise you): I dig the funk!
