gotta feed Los Gatos Locos, but i will be listening --- i get the feeling that they are not pleased that i am paying attention to Flaco, and *not* serving them 😹😹
i am wondering if the human who "vandalized" Flaco's jail cell was hoping to get him to a more wooded area, like a sanctuary or something? or just to Central Park, where he could literally spread his wings?
(yes, "jail cell" -- even when i was little, zoos kinda bothered me -- like why are all the animals behind bars?)
i am also learning that there are ways to "bird proof" the outside surfaces of buildings, even existing older structures -- how has this not been mandatory all along?!?

WFMU was still playing. I heard the owl and knew it was referring to Flaco. Even here in SF the sad news of his passing reached us.

believe it or not -- i have never seen an owl irl!
even though i grew up in "the sticks" (a/k/a central NJ in the 1960s, 70s -- when it was less suburban, more rural and woodsy)
