Just as it was peak darkness and the birds had all gone quiet and the streetlights came on, her neighbor came out and said "Hey, Judy! What cha doing? Taking the day off?" "No, we're watching the solar eclipse." He didn't shade his eyes and look up; he didn't react to that statement at all. I don't think he even noticed that it was dark. "OK, Judy! You take care!" *** People always talk about how primitive man must have been so awed and frightened by the sun's midday disappearance. So I guess this guy was from the future.
