One of these years I'll digitize my vinly (I have an inexpensive A-D converter, a portable digital recorder, but doing one album takes forever, with splitting tracks, tagging, etc, only done a handful).

My old friend David Quinlan who did a show on WFMU in the 80s played a lot of jazz and classical music. David repaired church organs. He would read H.G. Wells books on the air and play Goon Show episodes. I learned a lot from him, especially about boogie woogie piano players like Meade Lux Lewis. Sadly no archives. :(

Sounds like you're stuck in that car-I went into Manhattan (live in Joisey) to see Jorma Kaukonen Tuesday night. Generally a 35 minute drive home, took me 3 hours to get back, sheesh!
