paul in berlin:

heres an idea for the show, talking about funny surnames. i was talking to a good german girlfriend of mine today and she was telling me some of her favourite german surnames. first one literally translates as porkmeat or porkchop. she was also friends wirth a girl called cowmeat. we might say steak but i think the former is closer to the german meaning. some others are as follows:
spatz = sparrow
schwanger = pregnant as in mr and mrs pregnant
schwul = mr and mrs gay
knoblauch = mr and mrs garlic
i told her of some popular irish names she as an east german found particularly funny such as;
wall = mr and mrs wall
whore(no need to explain)
power = mr and mrs power(which she really loved)
anyway just an idea
look forward to tuning in.
bye or sell or byebye for now

DJ RHYMEO ROB:

Wow, thanks for hitting the refresh button on those old KECG days!!! I could just see Karryl and Karla in there on those old beat up bsr turntables and that big ol' moster with knobs that chilled in room 400 of the northwing. HOW WE DID THE THINGS THAT WE DID ON THAT SET UP WAS AMAZING!!!! Those were the most memorable days for me as a dj....in addition of course to the days soon after spinning for you when I got to witness what was KALX and the BILLY JAM DON'T GIVE A DAMN EXPERIENCE. 25 years later, and we are both still making them dance to the true hip hop sound. You are a true pioneer of Hip Hop!!!

Thanks for giving a tenth grade wax head a chance to get on and rock the platters every Monday.

Your First Mix DJ....
