SmokinJ:

Another beautiful day!
  9:03am
postmanpaul:

first second comment, woohoo!
  9:06am
postmanpaul:

go go go jason!
  9:16am
Raf:

Morning, Jason!
  9:26am
Jesse:

i'm grooving to this shit it in china
  9:28am
Ike:

Wow, that "TV in My Eye" song is awesome. There's a sci-fi concept I haven't heard much about lately. But the question is, will we also get DVRs in our eyes, and a petabyte of MP3s in a mole-sized player in our ear canals?
  9:29am
Jason:

Morning Raf, Paul, Smokin J, Jesse, Ike and every1. Wow, where in China Jesse?
  9:30am
Jesse:

I can't believe it was from 81. new china.
  9:41am
Ike:

New China?! That's vague. All of China is new, b/c they constantly throw out, tear down, and disrespect anything old.

I had trouble getting on the net when I was in China (Jinghong, Chengdu), much less tuning in FMU. Apparently the net cafe cards were rationed. And almost everyone in the country was incredibly rude, nasty, and unpleasant, and smoked extra-extra-vile cigarettes constantly. Food was amazing, though.
  9:45am
SmokinJ:

Right On!
  9:49am
Jesse:

Yeah! Thats where I am. A smokey internet cafe' in Chengdu. But its really fast and listening to wfmu takes me back home in so many ways. Do you ever think that we are still in the 80's and this is the future?
  9:54am
Cecile:

Ike, the robots , feral cats and wolves will take over, so it's a moot point.
  9:54am
SmokinJ:

The 60's maybe :)
  9:56am
risky!:

hospitals!! hahah GOODMORNING YALLZ!
  9:56am
Cecile:

Whatever decade it is, I feel gypped.
Where is my flying car with the robot bartender mixing me perfect martinis?
  9:57am
BSI:

Cecile:
I'm holding out for the feral robots.
THAT will be fully awesome.
  9:58am
SmokinJ:

Mine's parked outside on the TelePort but my servant is rolling not stirring..
  9:58am
Ike:

Jesse, wow, are you at Sim's Cozy Guesthouse? That was a little polite oasis in the sinister shroud of Chengdu smoke.

Look out for this awesome hole-in-the-wall with great food:

Cecile: HA!
  9:59am
Cecile:

It's always 4:19 in your future, hey J?
  10:00am
SmokinJ:

It's always 'Time', that's all I know
  10:01am
Cecile:

business time
  10:02am
SmokinJ:

Miller Time!
  10:03am
BSI:

"Time is an illusion. Lunchtime, doubly so."
--F. Prefect
  10:07am
Jesse:

I'm not sure i'm gonna find that hole in the wall but I know Sims. And i know 4:19. I totally know both of those.
  10:08am
Cecile:

I'm getting a big Homosexuals/electronic Todd Tamanend Clark vibe from this Gary War stuff.

coolness.
  10:14am
Pete Townsend:

If time is doubly illusory at lunchtime, then time spent with a double-cheeseburger at lunch is quadraphonier.
  10:14am
kris thompson:

i played on that Bobb Trimble track when i was 19 (please don't do the math!). awesome show, and the Gary set sounds great...
  10:17am
Ike:

Jesse, yeah, finding anything in Chengdu is a huge task, with the street names constantly changing and everything always getting torn down for more shopping malls and shiny new shit....
  10:17am
SmokinJ:

Dyno kris!
  10:17am
BSI:

Breakfast would be moving backwards in time.
Thus, the whole concept of BRUNCH just throws the whole shootin' match into a black hole.

Dammit I'm hungry all of a sudden.

Waiter! What time is it?!?!
  10:18am
Jesse:

I am cooler because of you Kris.
  10:19am
Jason:

Wow Kris, wish we'd had a chance to chat about that while you were here. Were you one of The Kidds?
  10:21am
Steven Wright sez::

"I put instant coffee in a microwave oven and almost went back in time."
  10:22am
Jesse:

ha!
  10:23am
steven d:

right now i'm having amnesia and deja vu at the same time.
  10:24am
dc pat:

wasn't into this at first but now warming up to it. I'm detecting a little Syd Barrett in there...
  10:24am
cedrick:

i wonder about The Necks?
it's not today?
  10:25am
Cecile:

it is today! I thought...
  10:26am
cedrick:

ok !! i now understand i'm living in paris, france, so we don't have the same hour!!
i'm stupid..........
  10:26am
Jason:

Cedrick -- the Necks live@wfmu is today on Brian Turner's show, 3-6pm
  10:26am
BSI:

that last tune had me on the edge of my mess...
  10:27am
still b/p:

Best radio & computer simultaneous audio experience of the day so far: on the left, Gary War, and on the right, Brenda Lee "Break It To Me Gently."
  10:28am
Jesse:

That was great the way they played live to me and my earphones. I want more.
  10:33am
Jason:

Gary War's New Raytheonport LP is still available from Shdwply, and mp3s are here: http://garywar.blogspot.com/
  10:34am
Jesse:

Are they playing live tonight in New York?
  10:37am
Jason:

damn winamp's manual repeat advance button!
  10:39am
Parq:

Damn, I missed the Gary War? Stupid work duties. Hi ho, it's off to the archives I go.
  10:41am
Jason:

I don't think gary war is playing 2nite (correct my if i'm wrong), they played Fri (the day the interview took place) and Sat and their next show in NY is the March 7 WNYU show
  10:43am
Jesse:

oh thanks. This song is nice'ing me.
  10:51am
GP:

Jason,
Is that DJ Jassy Jess part of the Bronhard crew or was that a separate track? Had to pick up a phone call and missed some of that.
  10:54am
Jason:

that was a separate track. Jess stopped by with Mudboy this summer and dropped off that tape. But both mudboy and B/G/P are from Providence RI
  10:55am
GP:

OK, I see the updated info now..thank Jason.
  11:16am
dc pat:

Phew! That sore thumb tune was kickin...
  11:16am
Sean Daily:

Not even close to first comment! Woo hoo!
  11:40am
Doug from DC:

Ferraro and The Skaters may release a new album every two weeks, but they're all still worth hearing. I like the Chameleon Ballet track.
  11:52am
luke poot:
