Listener comments!

  9:08am
minnie the moocha:

good morning ........
  9:15am
Pavlov's jog:

Whenever minnie checks in, I expect someone else to say not just "Hi,' but "Hi-de-hi-de-hi!"
  9:22am
Parq:

She did a post about the King of Sweden . . .
  9:30am
King Carl XVI Gustaf:

Do tell....
  9:37am
Parq:

He sat and played her all the sound that matters
Each set he played her was a dozen platters
At marathon she gave him all her nickles and dimes
She played her premium CD a million times
  9:49am
Cecile:

awesome parq.
I need some disco.
  9:51am
The Clash:

I thought we were the only band with sound that matters, at least that what Epic told us.
  9:57am
jojo:

i ditched itunes and i feel so free,
i know it sounds stupid,
but it even sounds better somehow coming through vlc
  10:00am
DeemerDave:

I hear the word "pissed" on the radio somewhat regularly so I am pretty sure it is allowed. Just as well you didn't say it anyway. I prefer not to hear about urination in casual conversation.
  10:02am
Cecile:

I would love to come to the fest, but my fall vacation will be spent helping mum with her knee replacement recuperation in beautiful downtown Beaver Falls, PA.
  10:05am
jason:

i think you can say "pissed off" but not "pissed jeans" as in urination. stoopid rules
  10:07am
annie:

hello-baloo folks
  10:08am
Cecile:

annnnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie

ah, tis truly better to be pissed off than pissed on.
  10:10am
lota:

"piss" is number two of the "seven dirty words".
strange.
  10:10am
DeemerDave:

Better to be safe than fined by the FCC.
  10:11am
annie:

i've been listening since nine.. the plumber was here for his weekly repair visit; i say that with <s>... i'll be glad when the whole thing is finished. cracked up electric work and bath tubs are not a safe couple.
  10:20am
annie:

cecile, you'll be seeing the beginnings of fall there. are you driving out?
  10:21am
AnAnonymousParty:

The synth line in Milkshake Daddy sounds a lot like the one in Synergy/Larry Fast's "Delta 2 & Delta 4".
  10:27am
Cecile:

No, flying. I want this trip to be like a band-aid, quick and sharp and painful, but it will be over.

Worst. Daughter. Ever.

AAP - you are so dating yourself with that reference, and I am so dating myself by getting it.

DeemerDave, words to live by.
  10:30am
Carmichael:

Good morning Jason and listeners.
  10:40am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Beaver Falls, PA!? Did you know Papa John Creach?
  10:43am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Or maybe Joe Willie Namath?
  10:47am
Cecile:

my mom went to high school with Joe Willie's older brother
  10:53am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Cool. The most famous native of the town in which I was born is Jerry Lewis. Wanna trade?
  10:55am
annie:

we have jerry jeff walker, but you won't hear him say that.
  10:55am
Cecile:

Dum Dum, have you BEEN to Beaver Falls, PA? Because apart from the amazing donut shop and a great cooking supply store, it's so not all that.
  10:58am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Cecile - Have you been to Irvington, NJ?
  11:01am
Lulu:

great "flow" !
  11:02am
Carmichael:

A roommate of mine in the military was from Beaver Falls. That's the only time I've heard of it.

Sacramento has Mark Spitz and Molly Ringwald.
  11:02am
Cecile:

No. So I guess we are probably even, hey?
I didn't grow up there. But when I visited there, even in the boom time of the 70s, I couldnt' get back to my podunk town in the piney woods fast enough.
  11:02am
Carmichael:

This sounds like Devo with Stan Ridgeway singing lead.
  11:02am
Parq:

In short, Beaver Falls is mostly a lotta nothing, but it does have one or two okay things. Sounds like most cities and towns in America, and I expect, elsewhere.
  11:04am
Parq:

example: Truro, Nova Scotia Can, has next to no tourist zing, but by happenstance, we found it it's actually not a bad place to chill for a couple of days.
  11:04am
Parq:

>found out it's<
  11:12am
Cecile:

Good point, Parq, and I am planning long walks through the streets so I can have my daily donut.
  11:16am
annie:

be sure to have an apple fritter!!
  11:17am
Carmichael:

Thanks, you two. I just went and snagged a donut right now ....
  11:17am
Cecile:

Yes, that is on my list. As are their pumpkin donuts.

They also have a lovely Carnegie library. So one more thing.
  11:18am
Dum Dum Guy at the Gates of Dawn:

Oram's or Deangelis?
  11:18am
Cecile:

Orams!
Is there another....?!?!?!?!?!?!
  11:20am
BSI:

No more meetings! Back to the headphones!
Egad, I missed a track from Hey Du, the most underrated & forgotten Guru Guru album... (atommolch being a personal fave, though it's a long one for radio)
  11:22am
Cecile:

nice, I like the was not was chopped and screwed
  11:24am
Parq:

See? Everyplace has got something. My ancenstral home, Paramus NJ is one of the most brain-death places in the world, but it does have a great non-chain burger joint, still serving after nearly half a century.
  11:36am
Cecile:

NO their FIRST
  11:50am
Cecile:

not meaning to be grumpy or anything.

this is really funny, though. I had this huge urge to listen to this about six months ago, and found a cheap dl on amazon. Then all of a sudden, Was (Not Was) lives!
