Billy Jam:

What up listeners! Good to be back after a wonderful summer off - spent a little on the East Coast and in Europe but mostly in Cali where I recorded a couple of WFMU sessions including one a few weeks ago with Dawgisht and DnZ and myself that will be played back today - the first half of the two hour session, that is. Also will be playing back an interview with film directors Jamie Johnson and Nick Abrahams along with Missouri's True/False Film Fest director David Wilson- all recorded recently over in the island of Jersey at the Branchage Film Festival where I was lucky to be part of the WFMU broadcast from two weeks ago exactly during Doug's time slot. On Sunday at Maxwell's in Hoboken the fine folks from Greasy Kid Stuff (former WFMU show that moved West to Oregon some years back) will be doing a special dance party. Today they will stop by WFMU for the first time in ages to talk about their post-FMU experiences. Also in the house will be young WFMU DJ Keili (Beastin The Airwaves) who got her first break on the radio as a guest on Greasy Kid Stuff on WFMU when she was 8 or 9 years old. (go back to archives to peep that show @ http://wfmu.org/playlists/GK2002) My man Chad will be stopping by to talk about the WFMU Record Fair next week. Also from Paris France (in town for the big Bootie NYC party tonite) will be DJ Reno and emcee Grandpanimi -coming by the station with previous WFMU guests and hosts of the Bootie series from San Francisco A+D (Adrian and Mysterious D - the DJ's/promoters of the SF based worldwide Bootie parties that specialize in mashups and bootlegs)- Oh and at 5PM today will be the first in a new weekly seires - Top Five @ 5 in which each week someone or some source will provide their Top Five chart of the week - mainly hip-hop. - As always thanks for listening and post your comments as to what you did for your summer 2009. And IKE -please send in your editing - spell check suggestions now. Thanks!

Hi Belinda!
  4:32pm
Cecile:

I worked at an early kids commercial radio station that got taken over eventually by Radio Disney.
I liked the kids, but hated the music and the way they were marketed to. It didn't matter cause I got canned pretty quickly from there.
  4:32pm
ISSAC:

IKE: Aactually it was Misspelled in my Birth certificate and thanks to a clumsy secretary my name will be kind of odd, personally I think its cooler with a double S. I love my double S ;). Ike:

Wow, Issac, what a story! Awesome! Hey, coincidence: Isaac is also actually my middle name. My first name is also very common so I don't use it.
