Listener comments!

  2:35pm
Billy Jam:

What up WFMU listeners! Thanks for tuning in today when we will be simultaneously video streaming on UStream (URL to follow in comments after show is under way). On today's show four DJs (ALF, D. Official, Dope Man, and Dre Mayeswe) will be presenting the second in the "Scratch Attack" live turntablism series including a special remix live freestyle of the WFMU "Running In Place" lock groove record. Should be crazy. And today will be talking with producer Blockhead about his new Ninja Tune album "The Music Scene." And at 5pm on the phone will be Rob Swift who is playing at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn tonight + who will be a guest here in four weeks.

"Mike":

Re your comment on Scott's playlist yesterday that mentioned weed and regarding the new law that goes into effect in six months in NJ, I read an article indicating that it is approved that I would qualify for my ailment.
My question is - in the meantime - should I be transporting weed in NJ
would it lead to trouble taking this stuff on the PATH train, do you think? I've never seen any police dogs on the PATH, have you? How about NJ Transit, do you ever ride that? I think I've seen dogs at Penn Station but hopefully they're sniffing for terrorism materiel or whatever.
  2:47pm
"Jilly Bam":

My advice is always be careful - don't break the law or at least get caught breaking the law. With that said - in post 9/11 NY/NJ one has to be extra careful transporting shit. Best tip is to never put it in your bag which the authorities can and will randomly stop and search peeps' bags - but never their pockets - that I have seen. I have seen drug sniffing dogs on BART (Bay Area transist trains) a few years ago but not recently. One thing about NJ or NY transit random searches is that if they (the Po Po) find pot pipes or papers in your bag that may give them the right to search your person. So keep all in your pockets. Or better still join the fight to make weed fully legal
