Listener comments!

  9:50am
EPA Study:

The sediment of the New Jersey’s Passaic River, contaminated with a large variety of dangerous substances like dioxin, PCBs, mercury, DDT, pesticides and heavy metals, proved a problematic health hazard. The EPA divided part of the river designated as a Superfund site into three distinct areas: The Diamond Alkali Supefund Site, the Lower Passaic River Restoration Project Study Area, and the Newark Bay Study Area.

Passaic Jam:

Music fanatics be forewarned today's show will be a lot of talking and not a lot of music

  3:57pm
Skirkie:

I think I stumbled upon this area before.
  3:57pm
Robert:

Yes, the Passaic R. snakes around over a tremendous course. However, what's really amazing to me is the spiral course that the top of the Paulinskill takes. If the ridge that Plotts Rd. went over was just a little lower, the upper reaches of Paulinskill would short circuit directly from Sussex Community College to the brook flowing west along Plotts Rd., leaving its looong curlicue east thru Newton and north and west to Ross Corner high & dry.
  4:04pm
Robert:

OK, not completely dry, because it's also fed by other tributaries in Newton, but missing a lot of its flow.
  4:06pm
Skirkie:

Hey how do they turn off the Patterson Falls anyway?
  4:16pm
Cecile:

Midgetville sounds like the story of Dinkytown in Minneapolis.
  4:17pm
Robert:

The Paterson Falls don't get shut off, they just get clogged with suds.
  4:22pm
Robert:

That must be why ken decided albino jokes were OK.
  4:23pm
jeff-m:

hey, the music is pretty quiet, needs to come up some
  4:24pm
Robert:

Anyway, the Paterson Falls are really beautiful, but their handicap is being located in a gorge that makes them invisible except from a few locations, so they've never been a big tourist draw.
  4:24pm
jeff-m:

gracias
  4:37pm
jeff-m:

hey , bring the music down a bit. Easier to hear you two
  4:37pm

  4:59pm
Skirkie:

I was thinking, "Who's gonna read that flying by at 70mph?"
  5:00pm
Skirkie:

It's a re-run, Billy.
  5:04pm
Ike:

I drive past there sometimes, and just recently noticed a series of columns, each with one letter tagged, on the northbound side before exit 5. But I couldn't figure out what they were supposed to spell out when you read them in succession.
  5:07pm
Skirkie:

  5:45pm

  5:45pm
Cecile:

I can't hear Diane, either.
  5:46pm
El Mono Loco:

There's no volume on Diane's mic coming thru on the radio.
  5:46pm
(¸.•[]`•.¸.•´¯`•:

Yeah, I don't recommend stuff with vocals for bed music! :) Very distracting even when the mic volume isn't too low.
  5:46pm
