JMcG, I think Quarterflash was a flash in the pan... Still, I really do love their sound. They were one of the last guitar powered bands before synthesizers and drum machines became the favored style. They were like XTC on quaaludes with saxophone solos.
Avatar 12:56am
Joe McG:

@Julie: What does the Web site say about Rindy? Is she still making music? (True Story: I almost bought their record today for 50 cents and then didn't. Bad Joe.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58am
Minnesota Jeff:

Joe, you got any Loudness laying around?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 12:58am
Julie:

@Joe I think Marv & Rindy never stopped, they just had different projects. They put out a "quarterflash" album 5 years ago but it sounds nothing like the 80s version. I have the three 80s albums, and saw them open for someone back then... I can't even remember who.

@MJ: Ha ha ha!

Does anybody remember when Kenny G did about a half hour of a loop of promotional music for the movie "Giant" starring Liz Taylor and Rock Hudson? This Roy Porter drumming this prolonged reminds me very much of that.
Avatar 1:12am

Hey, Tome! @MJ: I think Loudness are still together actually. There was an article about them in Chopsticks. At least I think it was them!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am

Droll, all I know is that Loudness was the first. They were opening for Mötley Crüe.
