A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Lonnie: "...Talking about how we treat each other."
An evening Post Office run found a bad unexpected notice of no late hours or box collection for tax day. Damn! But a woman customer held the lobby door open and an older gentlemen was cheerfully giving out -- for nothing -- a few postage stickers with a before-deadline postmark. No idea if it'll actually work, but the mood of friendly generosity contrasted nicely and notably with the disturbance and awful sadness of the afternoon. I've dropped into Boston several times in the past (not yesterday) for race day and stood as a spectator at the finish line right at that affected sidewalk spot.
Sorry to hit a note of grimness in this place of welcome diversion, but thought those better karma cultivators were worth mentioning.

...@ last we hear some of Lonnie Holley's backstory...
- Occasionally we're reminded that this African-American Music (& all it's Forms) from the Deep South
- that is (simply) the best thing we have in life
- is so strong because it is steel forged in Racism & (ultimately) the advent of Slavery.
- Lonnie Holley reaches these most Human Roots
- whilst simultaneously opening to the expanding metaphysix & technology of our early 21st Century, & still aborning Space Age.
- Extraordinary.
