Zacherle? The former DJ? Recently saw him w/ uncle Floyd. He was great. I spoke to him about his DJ days.

Sweet stuff.
Avatar 3:41am
amEdeo:

Yeah, Janice Whaley is something really special. I am a big fan. Been sitting on her "How Soon Is Now" cover for some time, waiting for the right time to break it out.

where's this volunteer program for kids that want to move from Miami to northeast
  3:55am
Brycepunk:

how many people from Miami are tuned in to this ducking weird show anyway
  3:55am
Brycepunk:

duck you
Avatar 3:55am

INDEED! Unlike all those other one-hitters, this one manages to just get better with time.

Oh, Brycepunk, you and your mighty ducks.

You're late with the Focus this week. :p
  3:57am
Brycepunk:

funny thing I never sang along we are the champions when the other kids did
Avatar 3:57am
amEdeo:

Sometimes it takes a while for the adderall to kick in.
Avatar 4:00am
fred von helsing:

We are the Champions is from Queen's mega sucky stage. The first three albums were pretty damned good - after that they went down the shitter, and kept flushing.
  4:01am
Brycepunk:

hey Amadeus serious question I don't like gang gang dance but the shirts are cool. how do you feel about that concept
Avatar 4:02am
Berg:

If this isn't going to wake me up (plus massive injections of caffeine) nothing will - good
stuff @amEdeo thanks!
  4:05am
Brycepunk:

I'm gonna sleep
Avatar 4:05am
amEdeo:

Thanks, Berg! Eating anything with that caffeine injection?!
Avatar 4:05am

10am in paris, greetings overseas!
Avatar 4:06am
Berg:

well of course amEdeo - the unavoidable croissant!
Avatar 4:12am
amEdeo:

Hah, I feel silly for even having asked! Haven't had a croissant since I found out I couldn't digest wheat... wonder if there are gluten free croissants somewhere out there.
Avatar 4:15am
BadGuyZero:

*Voila!* glutenfreeonashoestring.com...
Avatar 4:17am
Berg:

If I had to ask for one in France I'd put up a foreign accent ;) a bit like asking for a well done steak
Avatar 4:20am
amEdeo:

WHOA. Those look... wow. Those look like the genuine article. And that recipe doesn't sound too complex to make. I need to get an electric mixer somewhere first... not sure how I've managed so long without one.
Avatar 4:21am
Berg:

perhaps because you don't have good coffee to go with? that's what triggers the craving for me!
Avatar 4:23am
amEdeo:

I am such a lowbrow coffee enthusiast. I just throw grinds in a jam jar, pour boiling water in, stir, and leave it covered for five minutes. You have to be up for drinking grinds, but it's quick and it gets the job done if you need to pull an all-nighter.
Avatar 4:26am
amEdeo:

I know. It's disgusting. But I actually don't drink coffee often, since it interferes with my Adderall, if it's during the day. Makes me all shaky.
Avatar 4:29am
Berg:

ah yes, I have some friends you might call "coffee integrists".. I don't belong to those..
Avatar 4:33am
amEdeo:

Hah. That's a very kind way to put it. Everybody is welcome to like what they like, how they like it. Even the garbage.
Avatar 4:34am
amEdeo:

Well, unless it involves breaking a law. In which case WE ARE PROBABLY NOT FRIENDS.
  4:40am
Dave in PA:

It's NAY nah
Avatar 4:47am
amEdeo:

Well that answers THAT! Thanks & helloooo, Dave.
Avatar 4:48am
fred von helsing:

It's NEENer NEENer
  4:51am
Elwyn:

I've only ever heard Neneh pronounced like knee-nah.

All I remember about "The Cage" episode:
- used a LOT of recycled footage from the rejected pilot episode "The Menagerie"
- previous captain of the episode Chris Pike appears in a wheelchair, is disfigured and physically completely impaired, speaks through beeps
- Spock steals the ship to take Pike to Talos because the big headed (literally) can manipulate the mind such that Pike can be allowed to imagine himself normal and live the rest of his life in peace
Avatar 4:57am
amEdeo:

Oh yeah! PIKE!
Avatar 5:05am
fred von helsing:

The Cage had the "Number One" officer, which TNG revived as what's-his-name-the-bearded-dude
Avatar 5:18am
fred von helsing:

I guess Pike's alien friends invented virtual sex huh
Avatar 5:20am
amEdeo:

Riker was Number One. Or as I like to call him "Gargoyles... HELLO I AM JONATHAN FRAKES" (for reasons I will keep shrouded in mystery for the time being).
Avatar 5:21am
fred von helsing:

I can guess what Riker was using the hole-o-deck for
Avatar 5:28am
amEdeo:

Oh come on now, FVH! Clean out that gutter brained mouth of yours!!
Avatar 5:34am
fred von helsing:

There's the Yeoman Rand-er and the Yeoman Rand-eey
Avatar 5:40am
amEdeo:

Which is the one who designs architecture with uncompromising moral integrity?
Avatar 5:47am
fred von helsing:

I dunno, but she had a balcony you could do Shakespeare from
