Primer! Been a while since I've seen that...

Ray Romano has written a book discrediting Einstein's work?

Dan B From Upstate:

If you want to go faster than the speed of light, scientists... or congress should just increase the speed of light.
Avatar 7:36pm
Surrealist:

There is no conspiracy here concerning Einstein. If someone came along and proved him wrong, Science would rejoice at a new finding! It's the same with Darwin. Darwin didn't get everything correct with Evolution; it's been built upon since then. Science accepts corrections. If it didn't, it wouldn't be Science.

Until this guy gets peer reviewed in an official scientific journal he's got all his work ahead of him. As of now, this is just a conspiracy theory on his part.

some other guy:

Sigh. It should be pointed out that this guy does not actually have a critique of the theory. Rather, he is denying one of the two propositions on which the logic of the theory was based, "The Principle of Invariant Light Speed". There's no need to get any further into anything else. Either the proposition is false, or it isn't.

I just deleted a Brian Green PBS Nova special off of my computer.

I've been reading Lee Smolin's book "Time Reborn", which is a good criticism of string theory.

If there are finite quantities then what is beyond them?
Avatar 7:55pm
Surrealist:

String Theory is WRONG. Twine Theory, however, is right. I can't prove it, but since I don't understand String Theory I'm going to stick with Twine Theory.

Cliff:

But have you considered Knot Theory?
Avatar 7:57pm
Surrealist:

Eye have knot heard that theory. Do you have twine to discuss it?

stress recently gave me a knot in my lower back

I'm a Crispin Glover lover.

thats my theory anyway

Dan B From Upstate:

My favorite Phil Collins song goes, "She's a Crispin Glover... She'll take your heart but you won't feel it!"
Avatar 8:00pm
Surrealist:

Cliff - That was KNOT funny!
  8:01pm
Cliff:

(There really is such a thing as knot theory..it's a branch of mathematics. Completely irrelevant. Anyways!)
Avatar 8:02pm
Surrealist:

Dan B - Here in California it's a felony to put a Phil Collins song into someone's head via computer.
