Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from June 14, 2013 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Just took a shower, and banged my head against my bathroom cabinet. Now w/ this red stuff in my hair, I need to wash my hair again. Wish I had more platelets (actually is a real annoyance)

The tennis man in motion link provided the extra dinky for the morning shift.

Highway Star was VERY important in the age 15-16 smoky back-of-van days. It's still good fun -- the music, not the van.

I think Jack Black should star in a new Asian cooking comedy: "School of Wok."

OK, that's all I got. Good night ladies and gents. You've been wonderful.

Everything looks a-ok with the playlist. I thought for a minute that Kenzo's fix for last week, needed to get turned off. But I guess everything's awright.

Well, I believe Lennon Demoed it on the Get Back sessions in '68, but the lyrics were slightly different, and doubt many people heard it back then.

Apropos of nuthin'....anybody see the Bacharach thing on PBS last week? They drove me to flailing seizures of irk when they refused to put a single show & date ID on ANY of the TV clips of song performances. Some from Bacharach specials, apparently, but it's nuts to leave out that info of interest. Didn't catch final credits to check there, but even so, wouldn't be the same as simple text in corner of screen.
