Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09am
Matt from Springfield:

Perfect glow, either way!
Yes Sean, always nice to get a mellow start!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09am

Actually it has a few waves of mellow and peppy-er in it.... but that is only due to boats passing....

No room for a guitar?? I think you just outted yerself as a non-player...could be wrong...
- Kerouac writes about NewHampshuh, & his Lowell, MA isn't far over the border. If you watch the Kerouac docs & they show the redbrick factories & rivers - it's the same.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41am

I am totally a non player.... but I am also a realist. There is no room in our car! Maybe for a mandolin... but that is about it. And even still, with dogs and lots of booze, I never see the notion of music being played. I barely hear any music (recorded) being played the whole time except night in the cottage.

Is there a picture in the Deerhunter row? It's not showing up for me...just an icon that represents a gif file.

The wound was actually produced during surgery so I didn't feel it. The smashing of the bones inside my leg was the reason for those cuts.

The freakiest thing to see was lying on the street wondering if I was hurt and then moving my leg to get up and noticing that my foot didn't move along...

There.... fixed. The other photo was a front shot, but luckily there was another camera on hand....

Rabbit, what I meant was by the standards of the time, Husker Du was considered hardcore for squares. That doesn't bad about their music, only that they were so successful.

nope...... Mohawk Dave and Tracy did.... Skeeball prize. They didn't have a lobster to add to my collection, so I got notecards and 2 airhead candies....

In Danish, "Hüsker Dü" means "Do you remember?" I remember the TV ad for the matching game from about 40 years ago.
Avatar 8:54am

i thought Husker Du meant "Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile."

...yeah - the Successful Alternative syndrome...one writer called Morphine "your uncle's favorite Altband", & another called FlamingLips "housewives' psychedelia" - well, okay - but I like their albums & I hear they put on a helluva show...how many of those other hardcore bands are worth remembering now? - well - could be wrong about that...

Arg! I only got home from salsa class. The teacher went an hour overtime which is kind of good since we don't have to pay for twice the value!

To further clarify, the attitude would've been like, "Oh, you go to Maxwell's only to hear a band widely successful so you know you won't be wasting your time, unlike the real cogniscenti who'll go to hear someone YOU never heard of, or just go frequently to take chances on someone even we cogniscenti never heard of."

Except they'd never use the word "cogniscenti", because that'd mark them as poseurs. But they'd use the word "poseurs"! The whole thing eats its tail.
