Nice start Paul.
@MK Sandinista was my introduction to The Clash, thanks to an uncle, a lot time ago. In my young, confused mind, it was known as Sandalista! for a few weeks. The horror

Hey fred -- when Lennon's "Instant Karma" single was released, I thought it was called "Instant Caramel" -- even walked into a record store and asked for it by name.

Can you play some Life Stinks? new band from San Francisco
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm
fred:

@PSS: that's a good one. It's a good thing we can still laugh at these. I even reused the Sandalista name back when Devandra Banhart and his friends were big over here

It's funny! Still.. silly how embarrasing it feels to get it wrong!

I heard liquor store at the record fair. They rocked. When I went up to the dude and asked what the name of his band was, I thought he said "liquid store", thus tying everything back to the beginning of the playlist topic of misheard names. Liquor Store is a much better name, for the record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm
fred:

@Mike East: Though a Liquid Liquid cover/tribute band called Liquor Liquor could be a promising concept, with Fool's Paradise crossover opportunities
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm
DJ PB:

Thanks, everyone. A weekly slot is not in cards at the moment. I'm just far too busy to hold down a 3 hour show every week. But I do appreciate the sentiment!

We all know time's liquid gold and not chewing gum. My fav until now is Taxi Driver by Martin... but the whole lot is just AMAZING. Thanx again. WFMU should have at least a road name in every city of the World!

Those "lost" Sandanista cuts are my favorites from the album. Another great was is "The Street Parade." Not sure if it made it to any greatest hits/compilations.
