what really pisses me off about Wire is those posey full page shots they do that go with the interviews-a bet a lot of the artists really regret those afterwards
Avatar 4:19am
Jherweg:

Wire magazine makes me feel fat,,,,,,,no wait.....thats Cosmo.....

Soft Moon - perfect for the insomniac's breakfast

@Jherweg Thanks for the show, landing a little late as I got distracted in the wonderful archives.
If you spend too much time in Cosmo and you get to feeling too fat, just switch over to Wired magazine, then you'll feel like cleaning the house really, really thoroughly.

You're forgiven......but don't let it happen again I need my 3 listeners!...... you may have to go back and stoke your aural pleasure with this sonic outer space culturesaurus that i just brodcasted at you.....

'culturesaurus'...LOL
Avatar 5:17am

Cultursaurus is my new catch phrase.....I sort of wish I had called the show Jonny's culturesaurus.

Hey Kim Thanks For tuning me in !

This playlist is so good I haven't got past 3 pages of my novel since listening to this over the past 2 hours.
I like Wire. I would rather feel bad about being behind on music than feel bad about not wearing 10" stilettoes while giving a blow job in order to burn more calories, work out the core muscles and turn on my man all at once because the modern woman is a multitasker (thank you Cosmo).
But the issue I have with the music scene that Wire covers is that most journalists have zero sense of humour. Everybody. Takes. Themselves. So. Seriously.
From, your fifth listener.

Jherweg:

Yah I agree........Law..... I get a little indignant when they get all too cool for school and they omit some stuff..... that doesn't earn enough cool points or something.....post modern analysis of rock I find insufferable, too......rock isn't about being all cerebral.....
Avatar 🎙 5:26am
Simon P:

I think we have to laugh at those journos they're so up themselves
  5:27am
law:

Some of the musicians they write about actually do crack jokes (as awkward and obscure as they may be) on stage. I think Wire needs a comics strip section at the back featuring the best awkward jokes musicians have made on stage over the past month. "Awkward in-jokes jokes experimental musicians make on stage which only get one laugh"
Avatar 🎙 5:30am
Simon P:

ummm..dont know if that idea would make it past the committee stage

Sunday morn with jon. Nice. Way out there. Thanks for the trip!
Avatar 5:34am
Jherweg:

I think they should get David Lee Roth to be a guest editor......fuck it David Lee Roth should be in charge of everything.....DLR for prez. He should do Interviews in His assless leather chaps, and see if these uptight pseudo avant musicians can keep a straight face....
  5:35am
ginger:

And yet another trip.... Only with DLR ass visuals this time. Ahhh. Hilarious.

now I'm just seeing the Wire David Lee Roth interview with the serious full page colour spreads
