first in, yeah!

anyone going to the Perfect Pussy show tonight? the handsomes on thurs was a new experience for me. Over an hour of sound-checking, while I ate my dinner, and substantial between-song banter...between every song.

Good morning, bob. I had the pretty unique experience yesterday of having Hal Willner call me with an emergency request for a celeste delivery for Terry Adams. Who else can say that?
  9:31am marmalade kitty:

Old Bull Lee's dildo!

Hey Bob, the waltz you played reminded me a bit of the children's pieces(I can't recall the composer) you played religiously about 6 months who. maybe the title, Now We are Ten, contributed to tht impression for me.
Anyway, Cecil Taylor followed by the Flying Burritos. More weird, perfect harmonies for Doc Brainen!

"Kiss Me Baby" Once again proving: Humans can harmonize, but only blood relatives create harmonies like THAT...
  10:20am Moe:

Thanks for Yankee dollar.. The Airplane may have burned out early, but their influence launched a thousand bands...
  10:25am Stuart Rose:

Yeah, Moe, the Airplane, the early Airplane influence is all over that track. but it's no cheap imitation.
  10:33am Moe:

Influence, not copy... Love that sound... And those beach boy harmonies were glorious...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am fred:

@Stuart Rose: re. children's pieces. Could that have been Carl Orff & Gunild Keetman? Their "music for children" got quite a lot of airplay late last year
  10:48am Moe:

Brian should tour with the wondermints again...
  10:55am RHenderson:

I REALLY wish the Detroit Cobras would cover "Mind Over Matter." They could destroy with this tune, esp. Rachel's vocals...
  10:57am Stuart Rose:

Thanks, Fred. Carl Orff- sweet, dreamy pieces.

Bob goes on these musical jags and our ears are all the better for it.
Actually, the classical side of Bob hasn't been heard so often recently, I think.
