Mornin'. Marty. It's just after 6, do you know where your 45's are?

Bom dia, doca. Você está bem?

Hey, @Sem! Tudo tranquilo, e contigo?
Avatar 6:18am
doca:

Translating "Everything's fine", but "tranquilo" means I'm relaxed, at ease, or something like that.
Avatar 6:20am
doca:

This year's election coined the term "cidadão de boa" (something like the at ease citizen), in opposition to the more mainstream construction of the "cidadão de bem" (the good citizen who feels that he pays his taxes only to support a bunch of lazy idiotic people and feels as if he was on the upper scale of society). It's better to be a cidadão de boa than a cidadão de bem.

Sem Chumbo:

@doca. lovely state of mine. I appreciate the language lesson:-)
Avatar 6:22am
ausmanx:

aren't many places with cidadão de boa these days, doca!
Avatar 6:23am
doca:

That's true, @ausmanx! But I feel the WFMU comment board is an international meeting point for some of them
Avatar 6:24am
doca:

@Sem: There's that Tim Maia song which the chorus says "Numa relax, numa tranquila, numa boa". It's all variations on the same feeling good thing
  6:24am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

@doca Yeah, it's amazing how little animosity you see on this board. No flaming, very little posturing, everyone's so respectful. Makes you wonder what it is about freeform broadcasting that would attract such a harmonious crowd...

Escobar like Robin Hood ? Morning FMU .. I'm stoked, what else
Avatar 6:33am
doca:

@Canterbury: yeah I don't have an explanation for that, but it is one of the reasons I like the comment board. It seems to fulfill what people back in the 90s thought about the power of Internet to bring together people from all around the world, before Facebook and social network fragmentation of it all.
@Marty: Sometimes I feel like Spanish is the best suited language for metal
Avatar 6:39am
t_J:

what doesn't kill you make you stronger,. at a rainbow gathering I was also confronted with a backyard babies skull t-shirt .. something like: "do you think it's loving piece of clothing to wear?"
Avatar 6:43am
Marty McSorley:

Morning Everyone! sorry not gonna be here in the comments that much gotta be rapid fire on these 7". But yea if you can give a lil to help the station to keep on truckin that would be cool. Thanks!!!!

- on this Podcast outta Chicago - these Music Critics (kinda like Siskel & Eberts for Music, maybe) :
feeds.feedburner.com...
- episode #461 - they review the new U2 ( - & call it 'tragic')
- & solicit listener's calls about it
- & one of the guys from Negativland leaves a message saying on his iPad he has *only* his own music he's made - & to see U2 downloaded on there w/ it w/out asking was pretty ironic for *him*...

Love this Chicago being played at 33, fab
Avatar 6:48am
ausmanx:

on the B-side of Robert Fripp's Heptaparaparshinokh there was a 12 minute slab of Frippertronics which is, i think, the longest track i've seen on a 7". useful to have in the bag for these kind of shows, gives you time to duck out for a coffee (and if you played it at 33...)

Good TZAG, Marty and urbody! Just got into work, but I gotta say I'm amazed at how much gravitas is added to Peter Cetera's voice and words when you play his 45 at 33.
