I remember I loved it when you played Durutti Column's "I Get Along Without You Very Well" around the same time a couple of years ago on your show. Both versions are quite beautiful, and go well with autumn.

The song is wunderbar, Mayuko! More versions to come in future!

From Das Wiki:
"I Get Along Without You Very Well" is a popular song composed by Hoagy Carmichael in 1939, with lyrics based on a poem written by Jane Brown Thompson. Thompson's identity as the author of the poem was for many years unknown; she died the night before the song was introduced on radio by Dick Powell.

P-90:

@RevR63: There was a feeling ahead of the election that "mid-term election apathy" would be particularly strong this time. It was.
@Carmichael: Congratulations on the acquisition. "Punching one's man-card" sounds like SO butch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm
Daniel Blumin:

Rev, low turnout certainly was also disappointing... and this is in a land where we are lucky to get to 60%... Offald, pray go on!
  8:27pm
Carmichael:

@p90: temporary stud effect. @Daniel: why doesn't everyone vote? Apathy is such a simple word for laziness. We all should feel lucky we CAN vote.
Avatar 8:28pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I think no less than our Electoral Process & so our Democracy have been Bought & Sold. The Dow is in record territory, but employment & wages are still wanting. The situations that lead to the Credit Crash have not been addressed - yet Conservatives clamor for more 'Pro-Business' legislation. Republican control will also have devastating effects on Energy policy & the Climate & Environment. It's not good.
