Congratulations on your tenth episode of Garbage Time with Matt Warwick and thanks for having me do this live remote mix - which kills two birds with one stone - allows me to do a guest set on your great show, and simultaneously allows me to test out my new remote gear for upcoming WFMU remote broadcasts from Cali and UK….this mix includes bits of "Garbage Man"- Ike Turner Presents The Family Vibes (your theme) + "Eat My Garbage 2" by El-P + "Alley Full Of Trash And Bottles" by Otis Smith + "Fresh New Trash" by Doomtree + The Cramps

This is a good song Matt....thanks for feedback Hel...hey JakeGould - like your personal statement - It pays to keep an open mind, but not so open your brains fall out.

Thanks Billy Jam! Carl Sagan quote. That guy… I wish I knew him… But I just changed that to , “Life is short, and art long; the crisis fleeting; experience perilous, and decision difficult.” which is the translation of “Ars longa, vita brevis…” Gotta be consistent across social media.

Whoa! Just realized thanks to that clip posting: Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen both played garbage men in film.

Lol@Jake, this reminds me of some ancient history. Years ago, saw Charlie walking south on CPW in pajamas in broad daylight.

I didn't dare say a word because he had this intense look on his face like he was on some kind of "mission". Doubt he remembers it but I'll never forget it. He's a brilliant comedian imho. Bonjour Pierre, ca va bien?

Billy Jam:

bonjour pierre le garbage.......back in the day they (record industry) They had a campaign directed at radio DJs who didnt mention names of songs played "If You Play It Say It" stickers on records sent to radio stations (commerical ones) In this case (Fuck Buttons) it would be If you play it dont say it....:)

bonjour les déchets !
haa, cornelius sound is so recognizable...
  4:30am
JakeGould:

“If You Play It Say It” yeah, I remember that. Late 1980s and early 1990s. For some reason Warner Brothers releases come to mind with that phrase.

Billy Jam:

good memory JakeGould....that is who (for some reason) I think of too...little round stickers on top right corner of LPs....Man I bet the big labels would love to go back in time to when that and home-taping was their main worry :)

I read once that Jimmy Page asked Terry Reid to be the lead singer of a new group he was forming and Terry turned him down. So he got an unknown singer from the north of England named Robert Plant instead.
