OH YEA not heard this in like ages ffs !
  9:19pm
Martha:

That DAM re-issue is good - contains a lot of stuff (like that track) pre-Ashton - so it has more of a Snatch vibe -
  9:20pm
Shana:

Oh it's that croony Puerto Rico Flowers dude
  9:22pm
Martha:

Yep! - same guy, same goth sound, different band - was originally in Clockcleaner -
  9:25pm
Shana:

Versatile!
  9:29pm
r in va:

cool
  9:31pm
Martha:

Yep - highly recommended - CD has two albums they collaborated on - the other is "You Whom I Have Always Hated" - gotta respect their grammar as well -
  9:37pm
Martha:

We don't have that much new heavy stuff in at the moment - at least that I haven't overplayed...
  9:39pm

Last week's last set was very good.
  9:40pm
Martha:

Thanks! - much appreciated!

Hello Martha and all. Tuning in late. I like this Frightening Lights.
  9:50pm
Martha:

It is beautiful - taken me a while to get to it -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

I had an onion to use up and mixed into some taco meat. That was about a 75% onion taco. The place smells like onions here.
  9:58pm
richard scumrock:

that organ solo just made me hit the star thingy. It was rad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04pm

  10:16pm
ricrdsmrock:

It's more than a genre. haha
  10:16pm
Shana:

All my illusions are being shattered! (Is this some kind of rock opera?)
  10:18pm
Martha:

You mean the show???
Avatar 10:18pm
SiHV:

Noxagt...........................
  10:20pm
Shana:

Well, maybe an extended rock opera....actually meant the 9353, quite a romp
  10:22pm
Martha:

Yeah, they have a bit of a grandiose/emotive feel, if that is what you mean - already played by far the best song on the CD though - "Famous Last Words"
Avatar 10:25pm
SiHV:

I have a hazy memory of seeing Noxagt in Chicago in, what, 2004? Did they occasionally employ a violin back then? It's all a blur.
  10:27pm
Martha:

Oh yeah - they are violin, drum, bass trio -
  10:28pm
rickamrdscumwhaevwr:

I thought they were like a drum/bass/voilin trio.
Avatar 10:29pm
SiHV:

Intersting, the violin is hardly recognizable here. It was more apparent back then, i think.
  10:31pm
richardscumrock:

Ive heard this mechanical boy song on the station before. It sounds totally demented and freakish.
  10:34pm
Carmichael:

Hi Martha. Wow, this is loud.
  10:56pm
Martha:

Yes, it was loud! - sorry about that - i am not so good w/ setting levels - or paying attention -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59pm
Siriusly:

That would be a wow
  11:02pm
Carmichael:

Thats OK, mot complaining. Just saying wow.
Avatar 11:05pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...always appreciate you Martha being the perfect buffer back to 'reality' after the Fri. evening horror-adventure on NBC...
  11:09pm
Martha:

You mean "Access Hollywood"?
  11:09pm
Martha:

And I am prejudiced but I like loud, at least a little bit -
  11:11pm
Matt:

thanks for the King Champion Sounds. I had no idea what GK Sok was up to post The Ex. Are all their records that cool?
  11:12pm
Martha:

Don't know the rest of their records - and it took me way too long to get around to this one - which is quite impressive (I think).
  11:13pm
Matt:

yeah i really dug it. will have to track it down.
Avatar 11:17pm
SiHV:

Ah Sloath. Slow, loud.
  11:24pm
Martha:

Yeah - we're moving into the extended period of the show -
Avatar 11:27pm
SiHV:

Fine by me.
  11:29pm
blee:

Wow, this sounds so NOT Pharoah Overlord.
  11:29pm
blee:

I still like it though.
  11:31pm
Martha:

Agreed. It's funny, the new live Circle lp has the same title but sounds more like Pharaoh Overlord than this does -
  11:36pm
blee:

That is funny. Maybe Jussi swapped the album covers on accident.
  11:42pm
Martha:

Hah!
  12:01am
Martha:

Thanks all for listening, commenting, contributing, appreciating, etc - see you next week -
