	10:38pm Listener Sybil: I want to tell you all the story of how my son got an ear infection, and i had to take him to St Vincent's (which no longer exists) ER, and how we were not seen for hours (OK, gunshots, etc.) and how after all that I was stopped by a cop when I tried to enter the PATH train station (I was glad he checked, it was not too long after the whole Joel Steinberg thing) and when we got home in JC I just collapsed. I've asked, my son has no memory at all of living in JC. Whereas me, I remember every moment. I haven't told you the half of it.

	10:46pm JakeGould: No problem. I was like 12 years old in 1980 and still rode the subway on my own every now and then so the idea of me going to Jersey City in the 1980s on another train system would have freaked me out.
	10:47pm JakeGould: I knew how to get on the D train in the center (conductor) car and then go some place, get off, run to where I had to go to, run back, get back on the D train and head home. NYC life in the 1980s.

	10:49pm JakeGould: @ListenerSybil: Yeah, when I tell people I rode the NYC subway as a 12 year old kid they are stunned. But I wasn’t the only one. And honestly it was less creepy than NYC buses back then… My god the buses were vile!

UV-TV formed in Gainesville, Florida, in the mid-2010s, but by the turn of the decade they’d relocated to New York City. Their first release after moving to NYC, 2021’s Always Something, was one of EFD’s favorites of that year; they’ll play some songs from that album as well as some new songs from an upcoming release. Tune in for some post-punk jangle-drone!
Wed. May 22nd, Noon - 3pm: The Prof. Fuzz 63 (More info...)
The Prof. Fuzz 63 are a three-piece family band from just north of Dallas. They’re also literally a garage band. Their garage/practice space is adorned with photos of The Cramps, among others, and singer uses an old telephone handset for a mic. What else do you need to know? OK, they’re also playing May 22 at Berlin in NYC and May 23 at Finnegan’s in Hoboken.

	10:38pm Listener Sybil: I want to tell you all the story of how my son got an ear infection, and i had to take him to St Vincent's (which no longer exists) ER, and how we were not seen for hours (OK, gunshots, etc.) and how after all that I was stopped by a cop when I tried to enter the PATH train station (I was glad he checked, it was not too long after the whole Joel Steinberg thing) and when we got home in JC I just collapsed. I've asked, my son has no memory at all of living in JC. Whereas me, I remember every moment. I haven't told you the half of it.

	10:46pm JakeGould: No problem. I was like 12 years old in 1980 and still rode the subway on my own every now and then so the idea of me going to Jersey City in the 1980s on another train system would have freaked me out.
	10:47pm JakeGould: I knew how to get on the D train in the center (conductor) car and then go some place, get off, run to where I had to go to, run back, get back on the D train and head home. NYC life in the 1980s.
