Unfortunately it's my bedtime. Thanks in advance Mr. Conklin. Will be listening to this show sometime in the future. Have a good evening!

I think that song is called Blue Flower, not Blue Moon?
Avatar 3:06am
AdamFromOldeKenzo:

And I am OUTRAGED about this! Ha ha ha

Clearly I am unworthy of airtime after this.

Thanks for playing the new, Ashtray Navigations......I've been curious how it sounded.

Morning Jeff and peoples. This VCSR sounds great! A shame i missed the Slapp Happy and mv&ee (love 'em!) ... more necessary archival listenings to add to my growing list.

JC: Are you going to bless us with the 2015-07-05 MOTM? Or did last week mark the beginning of a GD moratorium?
Avatar 4:44am
Jeff Conklin:

Hey, 'Elf. Yeah, gonna take a break on the Dead for awhile. There's some nice AUD recordings of the shows on archive.org if you haven't listened...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

Yeah, I found a couple of the shows on archive.org last week, but those AUDs were unpleasantly muffled for my ears (having heard the crystal clear audio of the official stream via a cinema sound system in Brighton on the last night). I'll check back and see what else has surfaced.

Brief verdict on how TA pulled off the JG guitar parts? (I was much more impressed than I expected to be.)

I think Trey was the right and only choice and he was often incredible

Trey was great on the Charlie Rose Show years ago talking about Garcia and Zappa!

Ola Jeff and all !
I saw a long discussion on social media about Les Rallize Denudes's Lady Gaga's t-shirt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

Weirdly, I'm just in the middle of proofreading someone's PhD thesis and the current section is about the hyperpostdigimodernist textual significance of Lady Gaga (or something like that).
Avatar 5:13am
Jeff Conklin:

Yeah, it seemed to be everywhere, Pierre. Except maybe in the real world with non-dorks ;)
Avatar 5:20am
pierre:

hahaha, yes, I like to think that I usually tend to not dwell into online debate as I feel like the velocity of this medium tend to make those topics even more easily forgettable, dispensable. Lady Gaga's t-shirt (and clothing in general) is one of those topics for sure
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22am
the Canterbury wood-elf:

...and I quote:

"Nevertheless, there is one common feature which links most 'Gaga Effects' of contemporary popular culture: despite their popularity, fandom, digimodernist dissemination and viral qualities - rapid appearance, acceleration, diversification, and global interconnectivity - they are evanescent."

That Oxford comma is going to have to go!
Avatar 5:26am
Jeff Conklin:

That's the kind of writing/discourse I avoid at all costs

the Canterbury wood-elf:

Me too, unless I'm getting paid to read it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31am

Oh, God, no. We're onto Miley Cyrus now...

Thanks Jeff, loved the show, always do!
