@RRN63: I saw The Pogues, but the time I missed them was more memorable: there was a pub in front of my college and I went there a day after they'd been there (I didn't know about that). I was a regular, and told upfront: The Pogues were there last night, we don't have anything worth drinking left. I did drink Jameson 12-year on the house that day, I think that was worth drinking

@Īke: I look forward to the 48 episode serial drama that will once—and for all—answer all questions on human nature and behavior. Apparently HBO now gets dibs on new “Sesame Street” episodes, so perhaps a 48 episode narrative arc on Telly?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm

I don't remember Telly, but I'm looking forward to the gritty award-winning arc about the Yip-Yips discovering that life is meaningless and that existence is an empty void, so why not disintegrate humans and steal their radios?
  3:52pm
Matt Warwick:

Awesome.
  3:53pm
JakeGould:

@Ike: “Telly Monster is a slightly neurotic young monster who lives at 1304 Sesame Street.” muppet.wikia.com...
  3:54pm
Matt Warwick:

Double awesome.
  3:55pm
JakeGould:

“However, Telly evolved over time, gaining a much stronger emotional range. “His main thing now is that he believes totally in whatever he’s into,” says Robinson “And he can turn on a dime and that doesn’t belie what he was feeling before. He can go from great joy to great sorrow and it’s all totally genuine.”” So basically Telly is a low grade sociopath… Perfect for HBO!

...ain' no thang to the astrology enthusiast:
- ya got yer Horizon left & right - & ... :
..."A circle of longitude passing from the South point of the horizon, through the zenith to the North point of the horizon. It coincides with geographical longitude - a great circle crossing the equator and passing through the poles. Every point on the Earth's surface has its own meridian or circle of longitude, which passes through its zenith. The point on the heavens where the projection of this circle intersects the ecliptic, marks the midheaven (MC) or the cusp of the Tenth House.

The Sun's place at noon is on this meridian,
[this is where A.M. & P.M. on the clock comes in kiddos]

and the distance from this point to the horizon in either direction constitutes the Sun's semi-diurnal arc. The same is true of any celestial body. (v. Semi-arc.) The term is loosely and incorrectly applied to the midheaven, to the degree of the zodiac thereon, and even to the whole of the X' house. On an astrological map, it is approximated in the vertical line passing from the cusp of the Tenth House, at the top of the map, to the cusp of the Fourth House, at the bottom"...

Sometimes he's quietly passive-aggressive.

And he finds it annoying and offensive when four-legged creatures sneak into the house via the television. That causes him to huff and make little bear noises.

But I don't think he feels the need to monitor the borders of WFMU - he knows perimeter defense at the radio station is Somebody Else's Problem, so he can just lounge and demand maximal petting.
