Nice crop marks!
Avatar 🌮 1:06pm Mailman Tom:

Pride of ownership.
  1:11pm Bingo!:

Blast off, Carol!

The Condor went bottomless (fully nude) on September 3, 1969.

In 1972, nude dancing became illegal in establishments that served alcohol in California, but Carol Doda continued dancing there topless until 1986.
  1:14pm ScottC:

After Ms. Doda's performing days were over she had a lingerie shop on Union in SF. This district is hetero singles pick up central. Very smart business move.

I thought Chicken Run was a Link Wray song.

Flag's at half mast here in honor of Carol.
Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Good Lord! Miss Carol Doda was working as a waitress in a cocktail bar! www.imdb.com...
Avatar 🌮 1:38pm Tony in Durham NC:

Now where in my sock drawer is that Russ Meyer DVD of Mondo Topless? Love the narration about "the topless."
Avatar 1:39pm Marc Francis:

HOT DAMN!!!
Avatar 🌮 1:39pm Tony in Durham NC:

Carol was in The Monkee's HEAD movie? Wuuuuuutttt?
Avatar 1:39pm Marc Francis:

You are on fire today Rex!
  1:40pm ScottC:

Hey Rex - I seem to recall a story about a piano that came down on a lift from the ceiling with Carol on top. Once when the morning cleaning crew came in they found a half clothed dead man crushed against the ceiling. Is this just the fevered imagination of a Haight St urchin like myself?
Avatar 🌮 1:41pm Mailman Tom:

ScottC, I heard the same story. Can you verify that, Rex ?
Avatar 🌮 1:42pm Tony in Durham NC:

Actually, flag's been at half mast for a while.
  1:42pm ScottC:

Oh my God... It's true. Google " Carol Doda Piano Man Crushed"

Avatar 🌮 Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I win another 53 minutes of Rex music? Bingo! I'll take it.
  2:08pm ScottC:

Hey Rex - Have some respect for the dead. It wasn't just "some drunk"on the piano against the ceiling. It was "Jimmy The Beard" - the Condor's manager - albeit with a live screaming 22 year old stripper trapped underneath him for the whole night.
  2:10pm ScottC:

can you say "ignominious"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm fred:

@ScottC: He arguably saved her life too, a true American Hero (if one can disregard whether she'd have been on that piano without him in the first place)
  2:23pm ScottC:

@Fred all true - tip of the hat. The said 22 yr old stripper is now a great grand mother and former legal secretary ( after going back to school with money earned at the Condor) She is now retired and living in San Carlos. I actually hope that this is true...
  2:25pm DickyBoy:

Love the program, keep on rockin!
2:25pm David in ATL from NJ:

Rex, I dig this the most!
