I onced tweeted a Niemen picture at Emo Philips and he retweeted it. A year o so later, I was on the street smoking outside of a nightclub and he wandered out the back door. I was going to tell him that I was the guy who tweeted the picture of the weird Polish rock star at him but he really looked like he needed some Emo time to himself - so we just awkwardly waved at each other.

It's great you guys are doing a tribute. He was the Man in the 60s/70s... I feel was he born in the US, England he would have an amazing international career. Still he did well, early on touring and recording in the West... You got to remember that even getting your hands on an American or British rock album was a challenge as none of these were sold in Poland during the Communist era...
