Hi Fred, thanks for dropping by, as always.

Good morning, what movie is this from?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12am
Nate K.:

Hey Beavo, it's from A FISTFUL OF DYNAMITE.
Avatar 6:17am
BEAVO:

AKA Duck, You Sucker was the title as released in the US.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am
Nate K.:

@Beavo, ah, thanks. I did not realize that. Sounds more American that way.
Avatar 6:19am

Great film I have it on DVD

I forgot the music thanks.

I like the Heron Oblivion
Avatar 6:25am
statoj:

Good Morning, Nate. For a minute I thought perhaps that Heron Oblivion was an obscure Fairport Convention tune. The fragile vocal followed by the wild electric interlude.
Avatar 6:26am
BEAVO:

She does have Sandy D vibe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39am
fred:

@Nate: my thoughts exactly on the worth of an oscar by now
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am
Nate K.:

@statjo, for sure. Total Fairport vibes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55am

Speaking of unqualified voters, that reminds me that I should go through this year's DMC entries. But not right now, obviously

At RevoRabbit. Indeed, I think H.O. display their influences quite clearly and proudly, at that.

Good morning everyone!

I think you played 'My Friend Jack' by The Smoke, not White Bicycle...One of the earliest Psych toons, they say? - & shows how @ 1st Psych songs were almost novelty songs...

the smoke:

so howz about that white bicycle ???okay
Avatar 7:25am
KP:

I misplaced my comment. Anyway, good Sunday morning to WFMU, Nate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26am

Oh no! It went right by me. Getting other stuff ready. Didn't even notice! I'm a dummy! I'll correct it.
Avatar 7:27am

Frankly - I wish people would play another track off the Tomorrow album for a change already anyhow!...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27am

Thanks for the keen ears "The Smoke" and "Revo."

From what I've read Bob Ezrin really kicked their ass in the studio!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:53am

Awesome Terre T homage! ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54am
Nate K.:

Frank, I'm pretty sure everything I do here ends up being that, whether intentionally or otherwise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am
fred:

The first time I listened to WFMU it was Terre's show. I was hooked instantly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am
Nate K.:

@Fred, pretty much the same for me. It was a thrill to get to learn the ropes with TT.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am
fred:

I was leafing through a TV guide in a dentist's waiting room when I saw a two lines blurb about WFMU. I wrote that URL down. I don't even have a TV set. It was meant to be
  8:16am
bruschotti:

are those tix got already nathan?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17am
Nate K.:

@bruschotti, Yup, sorry. The guy who got them was right there as soon as I started playing music again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21am
Frank Above:

I can't remember if Tere's show was the first time I ever heard WFMU, but it was definitely the show that made me take notice.
  8:22am
bruschotti:

thnx anyway dude great tunes today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am
fred:

This is probably my favorite The Fall record
Avatar 8:26am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...lately seems I'm clicky☆ing every track on every show I listen to. Either FMU-Js are upping their game in Marathon anticipation - or the damn station is just uniformly ridiculously excellent...or both...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30am
fred:

@RRN63: I broke my clicky-star record yesterday listening to Mayuko's show on the archives. I think it's just excellence, and a timely reminder that our money can't buy anything better
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32am
DonJuanTijuana:

I must comment on Terri-T...her 3-6 Sat slot was religion for me like going to church every week. When she was off the air, some goth chick was on...it was AWFUL! Thank God TOPT came to the Sat 3-6 Slot. What a savior!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34am
Nate K.:

Terre is indeed missed. She was like my mentor.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38am
fred:

@DonJuanTijuana: No thanks for ruining my day by having to spew your bile. Hate on, I'm out
Avatar 8:38am
KP:

Ha. For me it finding the Hound on left side of dial as i drove into city for work on Saturdays. That was an eye-opener.
Avatar 8:42am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Apples & oranges - chalk & cheese. Comparisons won't you get you far. Losing Terre T seemed tragic - & then 'Beastin' The Airwaves! with Keili' moved to that timeslot. I thot she really really brought something younger & fresher which was very welcome & a real loss to see go - & ToPT Rawks like nobody's business.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44am
Dave in Vermont:

I loved Kelli's show. And Terre's.
Avatar 8:44am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...& both Terre & Keili left on their own to follow opportunities anyhow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am
Nate K.:

To quote the woman herself, "I love you Keili!"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49am
Nate K.:

@Dave, yes they were both totally unique and great DJs. And both missed by many.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am
DonJuanTijuana:

@fred , no offense, but Terri's show raised the bar, whereas @TOPT raised it even higher. The Hound was who I was raised on for Sat FMU as KP mentioned.
Avatar 8:56am
KP:

I started driving in earlier and earlier. More Hound, more WFMU.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56am
Nate K.:

I love you all! Thanks for dropping by!
