Good evening Bluminites....will you be playing something by Supertramp after Foreigner?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44pm
Daniel Blumin:

The only choice, Cliff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm
coelacanth:

i liked the supertramp album "even in the quietest moments" back in the day. 'never got into foreigner though.
  9:47pm
Cliff:

You're always dishin' out the 70's AOR hits here, Daniel!
Avatar 9:55pm
fleep:

The way the sound decays and runs out of gas and then revives is very compelling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm
melinda:

@coelecanth: I couldn't remember Foreigner, probably because I was too young to be keeping track of bands though I knew the song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm

I didn't know brand new day either...

Throbbing Gristle left the house lights on when they played Masonic Temple 7 or so years ago. Made it so strange.

Avatar 11:35pm
Mayuko:

this set has been quite funny, how they're put together is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:36pm
coelacanth:

...well, maybe if you got thousands of or several nests of fireflies, you'll have a few that stay. i doubt you can buy cicadas.
Avatar 11:38pm
Mayuko:

Jeff M can start that firefly export business. It's easy to catch them, maybe I should start it myself intruding his yard. but not sure about the cicadas either.
Avatar 11:43pm
fleep:

Why can’t you buy a jar of fireflies?
askentomologists.com...

  11:43pm
JakeGould:

Cicadas are scary and big. Fireflies are relatively easy to catch by hand. In NYC some of the nicer community gardens have them. Very cool to spot at night.

Well, I just moved in Jersey City from Brooklyn last year, and there's not enough cicadas or crickets. I'd like to order a bunch and scatter them in the green places! (but not if they'll just die)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54pm
coelacanth:

Jake, some cicadas are big, but scary? they will never hurt you!
...i think they're cool as hell!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm
coelacanth:

i think both cicadas and fireflies generally need significant patches of greenery.
