I was travelling and heard of Icelandic Woman Pop Singer from 60's era, Elly Vilhjálms. Not sure if you have played her on this show, but worth a look. She had local hits and did remakes in Icelandic of some folk songs like "Blowin in the Wind", etc. There are a couple songs of hers on youtube.
