Mostly family stuff! Went to my cousin's wedding in the Bay area, visited an old friend after. But to be honest I needed the radio break last week, the world has been a lot lately.

Wild Neil:

@Sasha-When you played "Shithole" I was worried for a minute but then realized you are a netcast only so no FCC here...yet!
Avatar 8:40am
Wild Neil:

@Sasha-is the anything else you can do here that you cannot do on the airwaves that maybe the layman did not know about?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43am
sashajones:

That's my only extra ability but it's a pretty great one for me! I love not having to worry about screening or editing music for curses
  8:44am
Gael:

Hi Sasha, really love your program! I was shifting from stereo to mono a little earlier last hour. And after the buffering I thought I heard this song with some spoken words that said something about Jerusalem? Was it a song you played or something wrong with the app?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am
fred:

Those FCC rules must be such a pain for Billy Jam
Avatar 8:48am
Wild Neil:

@Gael-was it Jewish Moments in the Morning leaking in from the broadcast ? JM in the AM...
@Fred-I guess Billy has to bleep out any swear words etc...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49am
sashajones:

Hi Gael, thanks for listening! That was a song by Tashweesh, a Palestinian music collective, recorded live in a Lebanon radio studio. Features members of Ramallah Underground, here's more about them: www.thenational.ae...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50am
fred:

@Wild Neil: There might be a few of these in Hip-Hop, and he's doing it so seamlessly. It must take him hours
Avatar 8:51am
Wild Neil:

@Fred-is it illegal to swear on the radio or TV in France?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am
fred:

@Wild Neil: I don't think so, if anything, it might be mandatory. Then again, I don't have a TV set and haven't listened to French radio much since I found WFMU
  8:54am
Gael:

Thanks Sasha and Neal! I was searching for a Duras movie on UbuWeb and it sent me here. What a nice and surprising internet detour!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56am
fred:

@Gael: Beware, this could change your life (for the better)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Leapin' lizards! Show's over already? Thanks, Sasha and have a good week.
  8:57am
Dimitris:

Karpov not Kasparov/ choice your colour -gypsy dark (original )
Avatar 8:57am
Wild Neil:

@Gael-There is NOTHING like WFMU, I have been listening since tuning in a farm field in rural NJ with a friend...drinking beer. There are also podcasts that are not on the regular broadcasting schedule...and EVENTS...I went to an event at CBGBs back in the 90s and Wildgirl was there and it was a fundraiser and just so cool and positive....ther is literally NOTHING like WFMU, they should take it into outer space and Mars when they go to kill the space boredom.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57am
sashajones:

Thanks everybody!
  8:58am
Gael:

@fred haha thx. I'm sure it will
